Sector Specialist, Gender Justice & Diversity (Contractual)

Job Description / Responsibility

  • Organise inception meeting, quarterly meeting with the district level network and maintain regular communication with Girls Not Brides (GNB) members for district level network functioning
  • Maintain regular communication with Girls Not Brides members for district level network functioning
  • Organise workshop with religious leaders, government officials, local government bodies and relevant stakeholders like private service providers
  • Produce IEC/ BCC material on SRHR and child marriage issue
  • Mobilise youth campaign and awareness raising
  • Maintain liaison with media for campaign and observe and participate in day celebration
  • Organise need based events/meeting to address child marriage and sexual harassment cases
  • Contribute to the process of development overall training modules and facilitate the sessions
  • Visits field regularly to enhance interaction with network members
  • Monitor yearly/ bi-yearly budget in line with the activity plans
  • Prepare and finalise reports as and when required
Job Nature


Educational Requirements

Masters in Development Studies/ Sociology/ Women and Gender Studies/ Anthropology from any recognised university with minimum 2nd class/ division in all academic examination

Additional Job Requirements
  • Age At most 40 year(s)
  • Have excellent skills on networking with different organisations, forums, as well as electronic and print media
  • Need skills on facilitation
  • Good writing skills both in English and Bengali
